The enterprise search provider offers an alternative to Google’s mobile search engine.
Unhappy with the way Google’s mobile search engine works on the Apple iPhone, enterprise search provider Exalead is launching a version of its Web search engine that is specifically tailored for the popular wireless device.

As reported Vodafone reached a court order against T-Mobile to sell the iPhone locked in Germany ten days ago.
Since then T-Mobile also offers an unlocked iPhone for 999 Euro.
Yesterday was the first day in court. The battle heated up as the court increase the amount involved in the case from 500,000 Euro to 2 Mio. Euro (~$2.9 Mio.).

The price of Apple’s iPhone took another price hit Wednesday as France Telecom’s Orange carrier began marketing the coveted mobile phone in a standalone version without a service plan for $964 (649 euros).
Previously, the official low price for a standalone iPhone was $1,483 available from Deutsche Telekom’s T-Mobile unit.

Carphone Warehouse staff have been accused of confusing customers in order to get them pay extra cash for insurance.
The BBC’s Watchdog programme sent researchers to five Carphone stores and in three of them were told that if their iPhone was stolen they would have to shell out for another 18 month contract if they wanted to replace their phone.

Apple Inc. will introduce a version of the iPhone next year that can download from the Internet at a faster rate, AT&T Inc. Chief Executive Officer Randall Stephenson said.
The device will operate on third-generation wireless networks, Stephenson said today at a meeting of the Churchill Club in Santa Clara, California. San Antonio-based AT&T is the exclusive carrier for the iPhone in the U.S.
